UNIT9 x AMV BBDO | Meta x Puma | World’s Smallest Gym
As Executive Producer at UNIT9, I led the end-to-end production of the World’s Smallest Gym, a mixed reality fitness campaign created by Meta and Puma. The project blended social-first storytelling, physical installations and XR technology to reimagine what a gym experience could be.
Mini gym kits for influencers
To build early buzz and social momentum, we produced over 100 bespoke mini gym kits and shipped them to influencers across Europe. Each box contained a miniature gym environment complete with a 3D-printed Quest headset, Puma accessories and custom stickers. The unboxing moments these kits generated helped set the playful tone of the entire campaign and drove early organic reach.
Projection stunt in Berlin
I then oversaw a large-scale projection stunt in Berlin that brought the idea to the streets. A bespoke animated film and QR codes were projected onto the ground in public spaces, inviting passersby to sign up and be among the first to try the virtual gym. This activation acted as a gateway into the mixed reality experience and amplified awareness in a high-traffic urban space.
Public installations in Berlin
Finally, I oversaw the on-site production and installation of two World’s Smallest Gym pods in Berlin. One was placed inside the Puma flagship store and the other inside a major shopping mall. Each pod was a compact 2×2 metre space powered by Meta Quest mixed reality and a custom LED grid. Visitors could try boxing, HIIT and virtual workouts and walk away with a branded, shareable image.
