Shin Ramyun Thames Stunt

Bringing this bold, playful real-world activation for Nongshim’s SHIN ME campaign to the River Thames.

Working as Senior Producer for BMB, I led the production of a giant 6-metre inflatable Shin Ramyun noodle pot for Nongshim, Korea’s No. 1 ramyun brand, which took to the River Thames on 6 October 2026.

Working alongside a team of specialist production partners, we designed and built the larger-than-life installation, complete with illuminated branding, giant chopsticks and atmospheric steam effects. Mounted on a barge, the noodle pot travelled from the Royal Docks in East London, past Canary Wharf, Greenwich and Tower Bridge, before reaching the London Eye and Westminster and making its return journey.

The activation formed part of Nongshim’s wider SHIN ME campaign, positioning Shin Ramyun as the ultimate comfort food for tackling the pressures of modern life, from long commutes and economic uncertainty to the demands of an always-on culture.

Bringing the stunt to life required extensive planning and coordination across multiple disciplines, including creative production, marine logistics, inflatable fabrication, lighting, special effects and health and safety. We also coordinated a comprehensive content capture operation, with dedicated camera and drone crews on the river and mobile filming teams positioned along both banks of the Thames.

The campaign reached over 8 million people through owned channels and media coverage, demonstrating how bold, playful real-world activations can still cut through and make a meaningful impact in an increasingly digital world.
